Caves Bienvenu, rosé de Bourgogne Côteaux Bourguignons 2022

One of recent discovery, during a monitoring trip in northern Burgundy. Caves Bienvenu are based in Irancy, 15kms westwards of Chablis, with which it shares the same soil, Kimmeridgian. Famous for its Pinot Noir, Caves Bienvenu recently decided to make a rosé, with Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Gamay. First vintage and first medals, at Burgondia and Féminalise. This rosé, out of the mainstream Provence, is born to be a winner. Medium-bodied, fruit-forward and dry at the same time, it expresses notes of tangerine, mint, apricot and a beautiful salinity with a touch of gunpoweder, gift of the Kimmeridgian soil. Service temperature: 10/11C. Ageing potential: +4 years. Glass: white Bordeaux. Fantastic.
