An interview with Arnaud de Villeneuve-Bargemon
-
Tell us about your estate and winery.
Our estate, belonging to our family since the 18th century, precisely on the eve of the French Revolution, is producing wine and olive oil since the times of the Romans.
-
What is the style of your wines?
Our goal is to make wines that express the beautiful terroir of the Provence, balanced, elegance and with a clear hint of minerality.
-
Past, Present and Future
Our past has deep roots in the history of Provence, because our family is here since the early 12th century ; our present is in continuous development, as, after about a €1Mio investment for renovating the producing facilities, we are now on the verge of the conversion to the organic certification, HVE (haute valeur environnementale); our future is fully focused to make quality wines, representing Provence at its best.
-
Something about yourself?
After a career in the chemical industry, I decided to take our family´s property over, with the precise ambition of maintaining our important values and, at the same time, keeping up with the modern times, without giving my passions up, classical music and arts.
-
What are you the most proud of?
I am very proud I could bring into the future our property without getting rid of its soul.
